"The blues ain't nothing but a good man feelin' bad"

Frank van den Hoogen - Vocals

Since 1984 I've been the singer and/or lead guitarist for the following bands:

* Metsch - pop 84-85
* Neighbours Delight - Rhytm & Blues/Pop 1985-1991
* Flaming Applejack - Blues 1991-1999
* Down & Dirty - Blues 2000-now

Neighbours Delight was an 11-member formation with hornsection that, especially the last few years, hitchhiked on the Blues-Brothers-Revival of the late 80's.

Half of the members of Neighbours Delight outgrew this repertoire and entered a more serious blues path as Flaming Applejack, which culminated with the release of the cd "Pass the hot sauce" , with renditions of Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Walter Trout and more.

In 2000 I was invited to do vocals for Down & Dirty. The repertoire consists mostly of blues and bluesrock of B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Walter Trout, George Thorogood and Kenny Neal, among others. Meanwhile we added a number of our own songs which we recorded in 2008 on our album 'Somday'.
